3.3 Elastic Cloud Disk Performance

Elastic Cloud services use the following disk types.

The table shows the types of disks and their performance:

The maximum number of IOPS – the maximum possible number of IOPS.

IOPS guaranteed – guaranteed allocation of IOPS to disk,

Throughput (Mb/s) maximum – maximum throughput.

Disk types do not depend on location in a particular data center.

The types of disks allowed for use as a system disk depend on the types of VMs:

• starter and universal VMs have a Standard system disk;

• high-performance VMs have a Super system disk.

	IMPORTANT: the cost of the disk depends on its size. The larger the disk size, the cheaper the cost per 1Gb. When upgrading, for example, from 200 Gb to 300 Gb, the cost of the disk changes. Current prices for wheels are available on our official websitе.
